The Koopalings retrieved some sort of powerful Socket Pearl for Bowser, which if worn inside a piece of equipment would it infuse it (and the wearer) with significant energies. Bowser tried to use it on a bandolier, but it resulted in the pearl transforming it into a sash. Said sash proceeded to change King Bowser until he became a queen...a beauty queen to be specific, who wanted to share her prize-winning powers with the entire realm! Though it wouldn't be wise to let her touch you with her gloves...
